To ensure your Bluepet BL-A01 filter operates at peak efficiency, please follow these simple steps:

Setup Instructions:

• Connect your airline tube to the filter's side inlet, then place the entire sponge filter inside the tank.

• Connect the other end of the airway tube to your external air pump, then plug the air pump's power cord into the socket.

• Important Safety Note: The air pump must be placed above the water level to prevent accidental backflow into the pump when the power is turned off.

• When you see bubbles coming out of the sponge, it means the filter has begun to work. You may notice larger bubbles when it first starts working, but the bubbles will return to a normal, fine size after about 1 hour.

Routine Maintenance:

• Clean the accumulated debris in the filter regularly according to your usage, ensuring that the oxygen-making power and filtration efficiency are not negatively affected.

• For optimal performance, it is highly recommended to change the filter sponge and any activated carbon/filter stones every 6 to 8 weeks.
