How to Use the Bluepet NB-04 Siphon
Follow these simple steps for an efficient water change and gravel cleaning session:
-
Put the water inlet of the sand washer directly into the fish tank.
-
Put the water outlet of the hose into a waste bucket.
-
Open the control valve on the water pipe.
-
Repeatedly squeeze the air bag until the water in the cylinder discharges automatically into the bucket.
-
Move the sand washing inlet around the bottom of the tank to target fish feces and feed debris, removing the dirt from the gravel.
-
According to the size of the water output, freely adjust the control valve to manage the water flow.
Important Notes for Best Results
-
Gravity is Key: The water level at the outlet (your bucket) must always be lower than the water level at the intake (your aquarium) for the siphon to work.
-
Protect Fine Sand: If your tank uses very fine sand, it may be sucked away; pay attention and use the control valve to reduce the water flow size to prevent this.
-
Drainage Limit: Please note that this tool cannot completely drain all the water from the aquarium.
