Setup & Maintenance Tips

Preparation: Before placing it in your tank, soak the sponge in aquarium water for 5 minutes. This helps squeeze out trapped air and primes the sponge for bacterial colonization.

Connection: Attach a standard airline tube from your air pump to the small air inlet nozzle on the filter.

Placement: Use the suction cups to stick the filter to the inside wall of your aquarium.

Cleaning: When the sponge gets dirty, remove it and rinse it gently in old aquarium water during a water change. Never use hot water or tap water, as this will kill the beneficial bacteria essential for filtration..
