Setup & Maintenance Tips

1. Preparation: Before use, soak the sponge in aquarium water for 5 minutes. This removes trapped air and helps beneficial bacteria colonize the sponge faster.

2. Installation: Connect a standard airline tube from your air pump to the air inlet nozzle on the filter. Use the suction cups to attach the unit vertically to the aquarium glass.
   

3. Cleaning: When the sponge accumulates debris, remove it and rinse it gently in old aquarium water during a water change. Never use hot water or tap water, as the chlorine and heat will destroy the beneficial bacteria essential for your tank's health.
