Setup & Maintenance Tips

1. Installation: Place the skimmer inside your aquarium using the suction cups or hanger. Ensure the water level is appropriate (usually up to the neck of the skimmer body) for optimal foam production.

2. Break-In Period: Like all protein skimmers, the WG-308 may take a few days to build up a consistent foam head as it adjusts to your tank's water chemistry.

3. Cleaning: Regularly empty the collection cup when it fills with dark liquid (skimmate). Rinse the black outlet sponge periodically to maintain water flow.

4. Air Adjustment: Use the air valve on the tubing to regulate the amount of air entering the pump, allowing you to tune the skimmer for "wet" or "dry" skim.
