Setup & Maintenance Tips

1. Placement: Install the skimmer vertically inside your aquarium using the suction cups. The water level should typically be around the neck of the skimmer body for optimal foam production.

2. Break-In Period: Allow 1-2 weeks for the skimmer to "break in." During this time, it may produce wet foam or micro-bubbles as it adjusts to the bioload of your tank.

3. Tuning: Use the air valve on the intake tube to adjust the air-to-water mixture. You want the bubbles to rise smoothly up the neck and deposit dry foam into the collection cup.
