How to Read Your Drop Checker

Once filled with indicator fluid and submerged, the liquid inside the glass sphere will change color based on the CO2 concentration in your aquarium:

Installation & Operation Method

Setting up your new glass drop checker is quick and easy. Follow these steps for accurate monitoring:

1. Prepare: Hold the drop checker with the monitor port (opening) facing vertically upwards.

2. Fill: Drop the CO2 monitoring liquid into the opening. Use enough dosage to fill approximately 1/2 of the inner glass sphere.

3. Rotate: Carefully rotate the monitor downward so the liquid flows into the ball body. If the flow is not smooth, gently shake or flick the ball part of the monitor with your finger to coax the fluid into the bulb.

4. Install: Submerge the monitor vertically into the aquarium water and fix it to the cylinder wall using the suction cup.

Aquascaping Pro-Tip: In order to measure the most accurate CO2 concentration for the entire tank, it is highly recommended not to fix the monitor directly above or too close to the outlet of your CO2 diffuser. Place it on the opposite side of the tank to ensure the CO2 has properly dissolved and circulated.
