The K1 Bio Media provides maximum surface area for the growth of beneficial bacteria to support the nitrification cycle, making this media very efficient. The large surface area builds strong good bacteria colonies to support the natural nitrification cycle in converting ammonia to nitrates and nitrates to nitrites.
