Utilizing the "moving bed" principle, the LH-600 features a reactor chamber where specialized V-1 bio-media is constantly tumbled by air bubbles. This continuous movement ensures old bacteria are shed and new, vigorous nitrifying bacteria colonize the media, providing efficient ammonia and nitrite removal that outperforms traditional static filters.

Setup & Usage Tips

1. Connection: Connect a standard air hose from your air pump to the inlet nozzle on the filter.

2. Placement: Install the filter vertically inside the aquarium using the suction cups. Ensure the top outlet is below or at the water surface.

3. Maturation: Note: The new plastic bio-media may float initially. It takes a few days for a bacterial film to develop, which will weigh the media down and allow it to tumble (fluidize) properly.

4. Maintenance: The internal media is self-cleaning. Routine maintenance primarily involves rinsing the bottom sponge in aquarium water to remove trapped debris.
