Setup & Maintenance Tips

1. Mounting: Assemble the intake and outlet pipes. Hang the filter body on the back of your aquarium glass.

2. Crucial Step - Priming: Before plugging it in, unscrew the top water filling knob (or open the fill cap) and fill the canister bucket completely with water. This priming step is essential to purge air and allow the pump to start.

3. Adjust Skimmer: Position the surface skimmer cup so it floats just at the water level to effectively draw in surface scum.

4. Power On: Once filled and secured, plug the unit into a power outlet. The pump should start circulating water immediately.

5. Cleaning: Periodically remove the filter media to rinse it in tank water (not tap water) to maintain beneficial bacteria and optimal flow.
