Setup & Maintenance Tips

1. Fully Submersible: The pump must be completely underwater to operate correctly and prevent overheating. "Do not let the pump run dry".

2. Aeration: Connect the small air tube to the nozzle and leave the other end hanging outside the tank to pull in air.

3. Cleaning: Regularly remove the bottom filter cup and rinse the sponge in old aquarium water (not tap water) to keep the beneficial bacteria alive while removing sludge.

4. Safety: Always disconnect the filter from the power outlet before putting your hands in the water for maintenance.
