To ensure the longevity of your filter and the health of your aquatic ecosystem, please follow these best practices:

• Pump Submersion: The white and grey water pump must remain fully submerged in the aquarium water at all times during operation. Running the pump dry will cause the motor to overheat and fail.

• Filter Media Customization: While this filter includes effective sponge media, the spacious clear compartments can easily be customized. You can add bio-ceramic rings, Seachem Matrix, or activated carbon (sold separately) to further boost your biological or chemical filtration.

• Safe Cleaning: When your filter sponges become visibly clogged with debris, gently squeeze and rinse them in a bucket of siphoned aquarium water. Never wash bio-sponges under untreated tap water, as the chlorine will destroy the beneficial bacteria keeping your tank cycled.

• Safety First: Always unplug the filter from the electrical outlet before performing water changes or routine tank maintenance.
