To ensure the longest possible lifespan for your filter, please follow the manufacturer's safety instructions:

1. Submersion is Critical: "Alawys ensure the pump is submerged in water" before operating. Running a submersible filter dry will quickly overheat and permanently damage the motor.

2. Routine Sponge Cleaning: "A clogged or dirty intake screen will generally reduce the performance of the pump. Hence, you must wash away the surrounded debris frequently". Squeeze the yellow sponges out in a bucket of used aquarium water to clean them.

3. Impeller Maintenance: Regularly "Remove the front cover and the impeller cover, followed by the impeller unit. Use a small brush to clean the cylinder or just wash away the debris under running water" to keep the pump running quietly.

4. Handling & Safety: "Always disconnect from the electrical socket before performing maintenance". Additionally, "Do not lift the pump unit by pulling the wire (Power Cord)" as this can cause electrical faults.
