Setup & Safety Guidelines

1. Placement: Install the lamp in your filter sump, canister filter, or an area with good water flow. Use the suction cups to secure it.

2. Use the Shield: Always attach the black light shield if placing the unit directly in the tank with fish. Direct UV exposure is harmful to fish eyes and human skin.

3. Timing: For best results, you can run the sterilizer 24/7 until the water clears, then switch to a timer (e.g., 6-8 hours a day) for maintenance.

4. Maintenance: The lamp tube should be replaced every 9-12 months (approx. 8000 hours) to maintain effective sterilization, even if it still lights up.
